Been playing World of Warcraft a lot this week with Eva.

Rainna I have been trying to teach my kids that being weird is cool. Not that weird that makes people eat wet cat food under the stairs in their basement, but the cool kinds of weird. The kind of weird where you don't have to worry about pleasing other people and in an attempt to blend in. Weird cool is not a follower. Not a cooking cutter NPC in life. We are more than walking flesh bags. We march to the beat of our own drum. So today while I was making up funny songs while cooking their dinner, my 6yo son looked at me and told me that I was weird. That he was so happy he had a fun mom like me :) I felt like I had accomplished a great thing! I have begun to see the results of trying to raise a leader:) One not concerned with pleasing other humans, but instead inspiring them to walk to the beat of their own drum and to embrace the fact that it is indeed cool :)

Everyone needs a friend, a companion, a ear to listen, and a voice to chat with.
One flest to me means that you are equal partners. To help when one is weak, and need help when the other is stronger.

My Answers:
1 Adam had an entire garden for him to work in and take care of and live in , God formed all of the wild animals from the ground to "Be a suitable helper"for him, he got to name every animal , got to eat from any tree in the garden (except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil)...yet after all of this no suitable helper was found! So in Genesis 2:21 God made Adam fall asleep . He then took Adam's Rib and made a "woman" from Adam's rib.
My Short version? As much as men can complain about us, at least we know we can't be easily replaced by land, animals, and food! HAHA!
2 In Genesis 2:23 , Adam said
“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”
One flesh means that we are to be a team with our Husband. That we are to have equal responsibility to each other physically and spiritually. We are not to compete with each other, but support each other. We are not to be abused by one another but loved and nurtured. We are are not to put other family members over each other, but cling to one another and honor one another. Even over our kids, because without a good marriage life we will not have a good home to offer our children. If we let our marriage fall apart because we were not a team, what messages are we sending our kids? We are to focus on building up our Godly Family and not stay clung to our Father and Mother as stated in Genesis 2:24.
3 There is a couple at church whose names are George and Linda. This is their second marriage from what understand and they are in their 70's and they absolutely melt my heart when I see them together. You can tell that they really love and appreciate each other. They play music together, travel together, think about the other one in social settings by always keeping an eye out for the other one or offering to bring food or drink to the other one at potluck. From what I understand about Lindas past marriage is that her husband was not the kindest. He divorced her and left her to raise their 3 kids all by herself and she never wanted to date while they were growing up. George and her are so adorable. He actually bought her the devotional that I have that accompanies this Bible study because he thought she would like that. She brought it to church to show our ladies bible school class and here I am! Inspired to share the stories of all of the women in the Bible because I did not know there were so many!
